
David E. Golan, M.D., Ph.D.
Consulting Senior Physician-Scientist
Dr. Golan is Dean for Graduate Education, Professor of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology, and Professor of Medicine, all at the Harvard Medical School. He is Editor-in-Chief of the major textbook, Principles of Pharmacology: The Pathophysiologic Basis of Drug Therapy. Dr. Golan is also an attending Physician at Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He has a referral-based specialty practice in hematology, teaches pharmacology and hematology, and conducts biophysical research on blood cells and related systems.
Dr. Golan holds an A.B. in Chemistry, summa cum laude, from Harvard University (1975), an M.D. from the Yale University School of Medicine (1979), and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University (1982). He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and in hematology.
